No Nation Fashion Debuts at the Belgrade Fashion Week Inspiring Social Change
IOM powered No Nation Fashion (NNF) debuted at the Belgrade Fashion Week with the Resilient Threads collection, showcasing the sheer strength of people on the move to overcome obstacles and difficulties with determination, creativity and hope.
On October 18, on the second evening of the Belgrade Fashion Week, NNF showcased the unique collection reflecting a fusion of cultures, highlighting the skills, aspirations, and strength of people in migration, while promoting eco-conscious fashion beyond borders. Throughout the week, NNF exhibition booth featured exclusive items designed through creative workshops for migrants in the Western Balkans, revealing the potential, opportunities, and transformation within migration.
Garments embroidered with migration stories, models who proudly displayed them conveying messages of hopes and dreams from around the globe, coupled with partners, stakeholders, and colleagues who came to support No Nation Fashion - together we formed an unbreakable thread of migration resilience.
The inspiring fashion show, where creativity meets inclusion and sustainability, once again proved that No Nation Fashion is more than just a fashion label—it’s a platform for transformation that brings together the talents of migrants across the Western Balkans, local and international artists, while fostering cultural exchange, resilience, collaboration, and the power of migration to drive a positive social change.
In line with the motto of the Belgrade Fashion Week: Dare to trAI, we dared and succeeded to deliver the dreams and aspirations of people on the move, highlighting their skills and strength that transcends borders.
The words of the IOM Serbia Chief of Mission Mr Hajiyev say it all: "Creativity and innovation can save the world, and migration is an enabler to make that possible".
Grateful to everyone who is a part of No Nation Fashion, our heart grew a size bigger after this inspiring experience.
