Migration Profile of the Republic of Serbia for 2010

The Migration Proile was irst proposed as an instrument of states by the European Commission in Annex VIII to the EC Communication on Migration and Development in 2005, aimed to gather information on migration and development and to allow the formulation of adequate national policies (Communication from the European Commission to the Council, the European Parliament, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions: Migration and Development, Concrete Solutions COM 2005, 390). Migration Proile is a means of monitoring migration lows and trends in the country and it serves as a basis for establishing and developing mechanisms for collecting data on migration. The Migration Proile is updated every year and it enables a better insight into the overall state of migration in the country.
