Socially vulnerable families received the keys to the newly renovated apartments

Knjazevac, March, 15th 2021. – Today, in Knjazevac, socially vulnerable families received the keys to the newly renovated apartments.

Today, Municipality of Knjazevac in cooperation with Center for Social Work and with financial support from International Organization for Migration (IOM) has provided newly renovated apartments for three families with 9 minors.

With the financial support of 14.000 US $ from the Donor, six members family Antic from Knjazevac, five members family Milojevic from Manjinca and four members family Mitic from Slatina will now have new homes.

This brings to an end the initiative “Stay citizen of Knjaževac”, within the project “Mitigating Adverse Effects of Internal Migration” started last year and activities to solve the housing issue of vulnerable groups will continue, said Branislav Josifovic, Deputy Mayor of Knjazevac, handing over the keys to apartments.

“Thanks to the IOM founds we were able to fully renovate three apartments and provided home for three socially vulnerable families. They will use these apartments completely free of charge and we will continue our efforts to help more families in needs”, said Josifovic.
